Emma Nastase — Artisanal Sustainable Fashion

What remains when experience itself can no longer be remembered?

Archive of Misremembering explores memory as an unreliable archive—something continuously rewritten through emotion, nostalgia, trauma, and personal interpretation. The collection inhabits the space between what happened and what we remember, where reality becomes distorted through the act of remembering.

Garments are treated as recovered artifacts: fragmented, altered, layered, and reassembled. Like photographs, tickets, receipts, or objects left behind, they cannot preserve an experience itself; they only prove that something once existed. Their traces become prompts for reconstruction rather than records of truth.

All the people you’ve seen, as anonymous figures reconstructed from memory, a crowd of fleeting silhouettes, colors, gestures, and objects detached from the people they once belonged to.

that can never be fully accessed again.
